House Whitegard is an extinct cadet branch of House Blackgard. Their seat was Karthmere. The Whitegards were, alongside the Greygards, one of the most powerful houses in the Borderlands until their line was extinguished in the infamous War of the Swords. After their extinction, the castle of Karthmere was passed on to House Taller.
